Review content:
New Peking Mandarin House is my favorite oriental restaurant in the Chattanooga area. They offer a wide variety of menu selections of Cantonese, Hunan, Shanghai, Mandarin, and Szechuan favorites. The restaurant is only minutes from downtown at the corner of Dayton Boulevard and Signal Mountain Road, They also have a large lunch buffet for $4.88, Monday-Saturday and $5.88 on Sundays, that features a wide variety of oriental selections. Appetizers include fried chicken wings, barbecued spareribs, pot stickers, and egg rolls. My favorites include Twice Cooked Pork, General Tso's Chicken, and Moo Shu Pork.
Most items on the menu are under $8.00, and portions are very generous. I usually have enough left over to take home for a second meal. They also offer take out services. Beverages include soft drinks, hot or iced tea, and beer.
The dining area is tastefully appointed in oriental decor, and seating is available in large booths. Each meal comes with a fortune cookie and Chinese donut. Hot and sour and egg drop soup are available on both the menu and at the buffet.
I have never been disappointed with this restaurant, the service is fast and food quality is always good. All major credit card are accepted. I highly recommend New Peking Mandarin House for casual dining at a reasonable price.
