Review content:
I recently went to look at a 2011 Kia Sorento at Martin Kia. Every car I've had to date has been a Honda, two of which I purchased new at Martin Honda. I never once had a problem with the Honda store. They were polite, courteous and professional. I was hesitant to look at a Kia, but thought it was worth considering as my next vehicle. Mistake. Unfortunately, I may have purchased one if it hadn't been for my experience there. I was ignored when I walked in, and had to request assistance. Had that been the only problem, no big deal, sometimes those things happen. The salesperson was nice, but didn't know the answers to some of my basic questions about the car and said he would need to check with his Manager about some options I was looking for, but they were busy. After looking through their lot, we walk back in the showroom where the salesmen proceeds to second guess his responses to my questions. I wasn't ready to buy, but needed to be sold on the intent to come back.I look around, and notice a female on her cell phone texting the whole time i was there, and flirting with any male that came close. There were other observations, which are neither here nor there at this point. I just assumed she was reception and thought nothing more of it. I wasn't impressed with the service to say the least, and my possible consideration of a kia diminished, and I purchased a new CRV instead. I wouldn't have taken the time to write this normally, but felt compelled to mention that as I sat with my friend at a local restaurant, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a commercial on one of the restaurant tv's for Martin Kia. The female at the dealership that was texting and flirting the whole time, WAS THE MANAGER! I cannot believe Martin not only employs people like this in "management", but also has them representing their company on tv! It was CLEAR why their service was less than stellar. Completely unproffesional and yet another reason to keep buying Hondas, only next time I may just go to Union Park.
