Review content:
The real deal at Pizza Pete's is Tuesday's spaghetti special. Marinara, alfredo, meatball or clam sauce...all you can eat, plus garlic bread, for under $4!
At a higher price, our family favorite is calzone. Delicious hot pockets of tasty crust crammed with either a meaty filling or veggies and cheese. Calzone comes with your choice of meat or mushroom sauce. This is a good sized serving, and we often share one calzone. They offer free delivery and take out.
Two locations -- one at 2673 Willamette (with difficult parking) and the other close to Sheldon High School 2506 Willakenzie Road. The decor is pretty much red checkered table cloths and wood. The Willamette St location always seems a bit dark inside.
If you need it, an iceberg lettuce salad with tomatoes and adequate dressing is the standard side. And while it's not the best garlic bread I've ever had, no one at our place has ever complained when we order garlic CHEESE bread. It's rich with butter and a ton of melted mozzarella -- really bad for you, but oh so good!
Pizza and other items are almost an after thought, because we really love the calzone. You can get all the pizza standards, and they will satisfy. Good size servings, nothing too trendy, and affordable prices.
