Review content:
This is a great activity for small children if you are vacationing in the area or just looking for a fun day trip. The train excursions leave from Honesdale and take about a half hour to get to the neighboring town of Hawley. They often have themed train rides, such as the Easter Bunny ride in the spring and the Halloween ride in the fall. I used to volunteer for the Easter train ride, handing out Easter candy. The Easter bunny is on the train and makes the rounds as well. The scenery between the towns is really nice for the adults. The tickets are around $10-$15 each.
