probably the best place to grab breakfast in downtown santa cruz. as more and more of downtown is getting taken over by chains, it always feels good to go somewhere like zachary's that has been the same for many years. in this case, that's a good thing. their food is quite good, service is generally good and friendly, and the food comes out fast. there are no frills, but none are needed. a favorite.
