First off I have to say that the above poster is right - they have a VERY small selection of bridal gowns and only an OK selection of bridesmaid gowns. BUT they are one of the best decisions I made for my wedding in September. I shopped for my gown all over trying to find the best price & alterations. When I called Charmet they said they didn't carry the gown in the sotre but they could order it for me. All their dresses include the alterations and my gown was $450 less than any other store in all of Long Island, NYC, NJ, CT, & DE. Believe me I called every store listed on the Maggie Sottero web site and was willing to drive a bit if it kept us in our budget! I've been for all my fittings and Emelia is a pleasure to work with. Also she altered my girl dresses (bought at a larger fancy bridal store on LI) after the seamstress there ruined the zippers, one of the hem lines, & stiched one girls top seam of the strapless dress into a "V" shape neck line when the original look & other dresses were a square strappless straight line. She replaced all the zippers, had 6 fittings alone on her off days with my "V" neck BM and made us feel very comfortable. My advice - go shopping at a bunch of large fancy bridal stores until you find what you want. Then go to Charmet to order the dress & get your alterations done! Unless if you want to pay more for the same dress and a fancy store.... :-)
