Review content:
Today I went to Dental World for an emergency cosmetic procedure. While the dental ssistant was preparing the room for my procedure I noticed that the instruments she was setting up for the doctor were not taken out of sterile plastic wrapped or a sterilzing machine but rather were loose in a draw with no covering. I also noticed that they were not dirty but yet filthy to the naked eye. I pointed out my concerns to the assistant to which she responded "it is only the handle and not the part that goes into your mouth." I excused myself and explained I would not be comfortable having the procedure done at this practice. On my way out I asked the dentist to step into the room that I had come from to show her first hand the dirty instruments. when we walked back int ot he room the assistant was cleaning the the instruments with an alchohol pad. I showed the dentist the instruments that had not yet been wiped down. She agreed that it was dirty and apologized. I can not stress enough how dirty and unkempt this practice is. I went for an emergency cosmetic procedure but walked out and will find another dentist. They clearly are putting their patients at great risk for contracting serious illnesses. Please stay away.
