Businiess name:  Civic Theater of Allentown

Review content:
The Civic Theater is a one-of-a-kind venue in the Lehigh Valley because it features both performing arts and limited-release films. While there are certainly other stages and theaters in the area, the Civic Theater offers both! The plays I've seen there are quite professional and entertaining, and the films I've seen there usually end up on film critics' potential Oscar lists. For live theater, the Civic Theater is a lovely, classic venue with good acoustics. Every year their schedule combines classic and modern plays and musicals, along with a few options for the whole family. The Civic Theater isn't quite so suited for showing films, at least not in comparison to the huge multiplex chains. The screen is small, and the sound system isn't very powerful. Still, those disadvantages are easy to overlook when you get to see rare films that won't appear anywhere else in the area. Here is the Civic Theater web site for more information on their current shows and films: http://www.civictheatre.com/home.html
