Remember when Norm walked into Cheers? Everyone shouted, NORM! That's how you'll be treated after your second or third visit to Attilio's. And you WILL visit again and again (I'm good for 4 times a month). The menu is (mostly) traditional Southern Italian (think Roma or Naples with cheese and red sauce). But the chef, Dominick, throws in some creative specials every day. For these, he follows the real Italian way - what's fresh, what's local and what's in season.
My personal favorites are Chicken Scaripello and Chicken Romano (it's not always on the menu but worth asking for - I get it with Mozzarella and not Swiss cheese). I also love their calamari. I had it the day after a visit to Venice and it was just as good. The prices are moderate and the service first rate. Oh, and don't forget to BYOB. This is easily my favorite Italian restaurant.
Friday nights, they have live musical entertainment - it's lots of fun.
