Review content:
We reserved a two bedroom cottage, but got upgraded to the three bedroom because of a water heater failure. It was recently redone, and had nice new kitchen appliances. Kitchenware was supplied. The bedrooms were spacious, and there was lots of closet space. The rooms had individual heaters; the living room had a nice fireplace. The bathroom was good-sized, and there was lots of hot water. It was a generally quiet time in the area; we were one of the few guests. The manager was helpful and pleasant. The pool was fine, perfectly warm even early in the season, given a few sunny days to warm it up.
They had about 20 bikes available for use (free), they were of decent quality and in good repair. They were all upright style (no recumbents), and a couple were tandem. The state park could not have been more convenient--literally across the street.
There's not a lot immediately surrounding the hotel. It's pretty quiet, aside from an occasional sightseeing flight from a small airstrip nearby. It's located about 3 miles from Fish Creek, on Route 42 and County A.
The Peninsula Park View is fine for what it is: a nicely maintained collection of rooms and cottages in a quiet spot in Door County. It's a good base for exploring the area by car or bike. We enjoyed our stay.
