Review content:
The Squirrel Cage is truly a Squirrel Hill institution. A neighborhood bar with a great jukebox offering up a decent selection of beers and good Pittsburgh pub food (which means french fries on the salads!).
The TVs are old as hell and even with the new fans the places gets smoky, but the Cage is still the best bar in Squirrel Hill.
There are usually several quality beers on tap with many imports and craft brews available in bottles. Wine drinkers will have to stick to Yellowtail.
The food is better than most people expect; I don't feel too guilty for enjoying the grilled chicken salad.
