Review content:
I bought some shoes from Madison this Memorial day weekend, that I loved and wore them for only a hot second, (from the shop to my car) and to my surprise they seemed defective in the instep. Half of my foot was exposed. Prior to buying them, long time employee who was rude and impersonal who shall be named: Nancy was not forthcoming when I asked her about the look of the shoe on my foot. Her response was " that is how it's supposed to look" Huh? Talking about honesty and customer servce..So in my haste to get out and about I purchased them, old shoes in a box new shoes on my feet, but something about they way they looked was amiss. Long story, short story, I sent my Mom in Tuesday to return them, because I knew it was not a final sale because Long time exemplary employee Nancy did not stamp the receipt as a( Final sale) . To my chagrin I was told that they were worn( yea! from the store to my car) & they would not be returned (What!). Not only by her was I insulted but by the Owner David ,(he inferred that , he didn't want me to bring them down , fore I might wipe them down prior to my arrival) is that a kick in the teeth...He was already biased toward Nancy's version of the story. I bet she didn't mention her lack of professionalism. All I'm saying is that what happened to the saying " The customer is always right". . I guess that's passe' . When you have already formed your opinion David... So fellow Imelda, Carrie , shoe lovers... Please make sure that you like your shoes and you have a truthful person who wont egg you on. So you won't have to swallow your money because of the non-return and you wont have some more useless shoes taking up space in your shrine of a closet. Caveat Emptor..........
