Review content:
I visited La Petite Coquette on the cusp of my 40th birthday, only to find that I'd been wearing the wrong bra size for my entire adult life! I have a small chest, and had always considered myself shut out of most lingerie options. Sure certain tank-top-style pieces looked good, but I really wasn't even supposed to be wearing a grown-up bra; of course nothing was going to fit me right. With the discreet assistance of the lovely and knowledgeable Alexandra, however, I was proved wrong. I actually found beautiful bras that looked great and fit me perfectly. And they weren't even expensive (until I got matching sets in several colors). But the true shock was finding I wasn't a 34A but a 32C in a certain style of demi-cup bra, the cut being more important than the size on the label, I learned. How enlightening! NEVER would it have occurred to me to go UP a cup size; instead I'd attempted to compensate for a bad fit by opting for a wider band size.
I didn't buy everything I tried on, but La Petite Coquette has kept a record of what I liked and didn't get. I've been planning to go back.... Highly recommended. Thanks, Alexandra!
Pros: Pretty store; great service & selection
Cons: None: can be very expensive, but there are other options -- and all good quality
