This is my life. I've done this since I was 9 years old. Taekwondo took me from being a shy and nervous kid, to someone that is loud and confident. I strive to provide the same atmosphere and experience that I cherished throughout my training. To find out otherwise breaks my heart, but I know that my personality and experience is not for everyone. I encourage anyone looking for a martial arts school to check out several. I don't let anyone sign up with me until after they try a class. If you still want to try somewhere else, please do so. A lot of schools teach martial arts well - but only a few are going to make sense to you and your family. If it doesn't feel like the right place for you, find the one that does or I promise you won't be happy. When I was a teenager, I had to train with a school that was outside the organization I'd grown to love. The school had great people in it, and I went constantly. But I couldn't get past the things I didn't like. It was not the school's fault - they had a great program that many enjoyed. I simply desired something different. If you feel I can improve - please help me do so. If I'm not for you - I hope you find the school/activity that is. If you only tried DTA once - I encourage you to try it again . . . we have an amazing group of people that make our school more special than my wife and I could ever do on our own. Give several schools a chance. Find the one for you : )
