MOVING SERVICES OF AMERICA - IS A SCAM!!!!!! Recently used this company so please stay away very far away – Trust Me! This is how the scam works: Sherry Clark/Sherry Murphy or Nicole will give you call you to go over how everything works and then send you a decently priced moving quote (mine was $1,897.50 for 2,500 pounds and $0.69 per pound over) via email and tell you that they will deliver your belongings to their new destination within a 2 week window. They will ask for a $250 refundable credit card down payment and set-up your move date. They are very nice and easy to work with. We only had 61 items so for the weight to be correct that would mean the average weight of each item is about 75 pounds which you realize is almost impossible. Tony the mover even assured us he weighed our shipment 3 times! It gets worse from here! Weeks go bye and you realize that your belongings are not really being moved, but are really being held in storage somewhere, but you don’t know where. You realize that all their company addresses a
