Review content:
I went to Emerald to have an up do and make up for a wedding where both the bride and groom were from out of town. The Bride, 6 Bridesmaids and both of the mother's got there hair done totaling 9 people and with services and tips nearing $1000. 6 of us were scheduled for 9 am and 3 at 10 am and upon arrival there were only 4 stylists available. This made our stay much longer and more stressful for the bride on an already very stressful day. 3 of the bridesmaids hair fell out and 1 bridesmaid who left her hair down and curled was charged for an up do.
At the bride's pre-wedding consultation the stylist did her hair and then very quickly undid it stating the bride wouldn't want anyone to see it which she did want to wear it home to see if it help up well etc. but the stylist had different plans including not finishing her makeup.
I had plugged in a battery charger when getting my hair styled and happened to leave it plugged in. When getting back home to Chicago, with the salon having more than one contact number, we had a message stating the battery charger had been left behind. The salon was contacted and asked if they could please ship the charger. After having explained the distance, amount of money spent at their salon, and that their business/customers/and future wedding party clientel is highly based on referrals the owner agreed to pay to ship the charger to Chicago. Less then 5 minutes later she called me back stating she did not like the tone in my voice, a hotel would not ship left behind goods to customers and she would not be shipping the charger unless I was willing the pay for it and she was actually yelling at me, the customer who spent money in her salon and helps pays her bills. The cost to ship the charger probably would be less then $5 and although an inconvenience for her to go to the postal office, after someone spends $1000 in your salon the least you could do is ship their goods back to them! Customer service goes a long way!
