Review content:
The $ designation for this restaurant is incorrect. This place is $$$$, but a great mountain dining experience. You get there in the summer by either van, tractor-pulled wagon, or horseback. Once you reach the large elegant cabin, you're treated to an excellent prix fixe meal ($79 per person), terrific service, and can enhance your meal by selecting one of the 500 wines from their cellar. Our party started with the panko-crusted crab cake, thai seasoned quail, and venison sausage & basil pizza. For entrees we had elk, tenderloin of beef, grilled salmon with artichoke ravioli, and ostrich loin with rolled fettuccine. All were outstanding. Most of the desserts were delicious and artistically presented except for the buttermilk cake which was a bit dry. The live guiarist who played throught the evening made it extra special. Beano's is a must-try when visiting Vail/Beaver Creek.
Pros: Beautiful Setting, Cuisine, Wine List
