Review content:
We priced and reviewed every hotel in the Dalton, Ga. area for our friends and family coming to be part of my son's wedding to his Dalton fiancee. Some arrived as early as Thurs, Sept 30 and as late as Oct 2, and some left on the third, and others, like my wife and I, left on the fourth. For that time period, La Quinta was the best value. The hotel is pet friendly, but only the most sensitive noses might detect this. My son's cocker spaniel was part of the wedding and we needed a place where he would be welcome. The hotel was clean inside and out. Sarah and Ben, in particular, were very helpful before and during our stay and I saw how good their people skills were as they dealt with customers who had complaints. I didn't see anyone walk away feeling their issues unresolved. The breakfast bar was the same each day but, despite the lack of variety, good food and included in the price. In fact, the ONLY complaint I have, a weak one, was the gravy for the biscuits and gravy. It had the consitency of a thin soup. I would offer this La Qunta two suggestions, find a local pet store willing to set up a kiosk near the items the hotel has for its human guests so pet owners who forgot food, treats, toys, or other pet needs have an in house source, and second, the grassy area next to the attractive outdoor swimming pool would be a great place to enclose in a fence so owners can take their pets off of their leashes and let the pet run about freely, even in a limited space. I was very pleased with my stay. The guests who stayed at other hotels at that same exit were jealous of the bargain and value experianced by us.
