The former Summerfield Suites on Craigshire Rd. is now Staybridge Suites. I have stayed there several times in past, but under new ownership, I found it very disappointing. Checking in on Friday evening, we discovered toilet would not flush. This was reported to front desk at 8 AM following morning, and returning to suite at 4 PM, it still was not fixed. After 2nd complaint, problem was finally fixed.
Saturday AM, we discovered that if you wanted fresh towels, bed service, minimal cleanup of room, you had to request it by Friday, 6PM, prior to our checking in. I discussed this, requesting these services, Sat. AM. Our room was madeup Saturday with fresh towels, but returning from outing on Sunday PM, a day when rates went up, the room was not serviced. Higher rates for less service? I discussed this with front desk, personally picking up fresh towels, with plans for room to be cleaned after we left for supper. This service was never provided despite assurance from front desk.
I would definitely not recommend this hotel unless you are prepared to constantly stay on top of the front desk- disappointing stay!
