Review content:
I went in to this place to ship a package which was addressed, boxed up, ready to go. The guy started to help me (measuring the box, etc.) and then handed me the slip to fill out (the official address label). Just then another woman came in to ship something. Even though I was half-way done filling out my label, he asked if I could step aside so that he could help her. No big deal- I assumed she must have been all ready to go. Well, I finished filling out my address label in about 15 seconds. And then I stood there and watched while he proceeded to slowly box up and tape up her MULTIPLE items, which she did NOT even have packaged up when she came in. I stood there, patiently waiting and waiting. He glanced at me standing there, but he did not apologize for making me wait (even though I had been there first). He did NOT say he'd be right with me.
He took his time packaging up her items and just kept on helping her, even though I had been there first. He kept ignoring me. I started to wonder why. We were dressed similarly. She wasn't very young or attractive- about 10 years older than me, mid-40's. To most people we would probably appear to have much in common. However, she was blond. I am not. Although my background is European, I have dark hair and eyes and people often think I'm either Mexican or Middle-Eastern. So, I had to kind of wonder... After giving him AMPLE (several minutes) time to say SOMETHING to acknowledge that I was waiting patiently and he was taking a LONG time helping her, I decided to take my business elsewhere. I quietly took my package and walked out the door. But hell hath no fury, right? Best case scenario, the employee was simply rude and inept. Worst case, he treats some people differently? (They won't let me use the "r" word.) I will NEVER use this business again. Incidently, I went just down the road to the main fed-ex facility and I shipped my package for about $5 LESS than he quoted me at this place. And they were much nicer too.
