If you have been wondering where you can walk into a gigantic cooler and find yourself completely surrounded by pro film, this is the place. There are other stores that sell pro film in Portland, but Pro Photo has the biggest supply, the largest variety, good prices, and you can walk in and pick it out yourself. I've got to believe their film business has suffered because of digital, but it doesn't show. And, if you are a digital fan (or just realize how cost-effective and consistent it can be), then this is also a great local place for all of your gear. They have computers, cameras, printers (big fancy ones), and all of the paper you need to do your fine art or professional work. And, of course, they have all of the standard photo gear, too... cameras, bags, tripods, lighting, darkroom supplies, and an extensive rental program. Yet one more reason to stay local.
