Review content:
This hotel is in a great location. It's in the heart of Little Italy so there are lots of places to eat and there are a few good bars. There's a really great farmers market nearby every Saturday. Its a few blocks from the airport and walking distance to the bay. The gaslamp quarter is just a $5 cab ride away.
We were looking for a hotel that was decent for a smart price., that had free parking, free wireless internet, and continental breakfast and that is exactly what we got.
The rooms were small but clean. They had been recently renovated except for the one I stayed in. Room 309 for some reason seemed like it was the only room on the 3rd floor that had not been renovated. If you can, avoid this room.
The couple at the front desk were nice enough. Upon request we were given the key to the safe, extra pillows and towels, and a hairdryer. One interesting thing was that they did not provide soap so we had to go out and buy it. But they did leave us two bags of samples of deodorant, razors, gum, and other stuff. Never saw this before!
The only problem I had with the lady at the front desk was that she tried to charge us a dollar a night booking fee and since we booked through hotels dot com we refused to pay it.
Might stay here again if I was ever in San Diego
