I've used the Window Gang to clean my gutters for several years with no problems whatsoever, but this time the way the situation was handled upset me more than the problem itself. I have a clogged gutter that wasn't taken care of properly the first time and instead of trying to work with me, Brad asked, "so do you want us to come clean your gutters?" I told him that I didn't need my gutters cleaned, but I I do have a clog that could have been missed the last time the gutters were cleaned 3 and half months ago. I noticed the gutter over run during a rainstorm 2 months ago when it last rained, but did not call. I told him that I could not prove it, but normally/rarely do the gutters clog on that side of the house. I asked him if he could check the clog next time they are in the area and he said that it is a minimum $75 charge. He even said that he could tell if it is a new clog or an old clog. The gutter in question is two stories high, so what do you think my bill will say. Exactly - NEW CLOG! Shame on me for not calling the day that I saw the gutter over run during our last down pour, but there was no way a new clog occurred in that short amount of time in the dead of winter. No way. It's just unfortunate the way people handle things these days. Why say it's my problem? Could Brad's crew have been in a hurry and not properly cleaned the gutters on the end of the house that never gets filled with debris? I don't know, but why isn't that a possibility? I have no proof of it, but neither does Window Gang. So the way they choose to handle it is by saying, "Tough luck Mr. Loyal customer that recommends friends and neighbors. This is going to cost you because that is just the way we do business around here. It's not WG's problem." Brad did say that he was sorry. I really have recommended Window Gang to several of my neighbors and have been mostly pleased with the service that they have provided. I haven't decided whether I will use them again or not, but I am very disappointed in the way they handled this situation. it's just too bad. I'll grab an 18 foot ladder and check it myself. Thanks Window Gang. You could have checked that clog in 5 minutes. It took me longer to write this review than it would have taken to work out the problem with me. Hopefully, it was just a tough day and not the way that you choose to do business. Pros: Normally pretty reliable Cons: Unwillingness to stand behind work
