Went to the Fuquay-Varina office. The doctor and receptionist were nice enough. I had stubbed one of my toes pretty bad and wanted to be sure it wasnt damaged too bad since it got really swollen and purple. So xrays were taken and the doctor reviewed them (no break) and he taped up my toes. The EOB from my insurance carrier had Surgery $500 billed (what surgery?) and the doctors bill has Closed Trmt phalanx $500...plus charges for a radiologist looking at the xray (same doctor), and another $65 for just taping the 2 toes together...? Talk about nickel and diming to death... Spoke with billing people and they said the surgery code is for the office visit(?) Well, it appears as surgery to the insurance company so its applied to my deductible and not the office visit $25 co-pay!
