Review content:
I want to communicate my distress about today’s interaction I had at the 8862 161st Ave Ne, Redmond, WA 98052 location. Know that I am a loyal Tully’s card carrying customer. I ordered my usual Veinte sized “Black Tea Coconut Chai 2 bags”. After finishing my 1st drink, as I have done at both your stores in Issaquah and Redmond Town Center, I asked for a refill – new cup, 2 new tea bags, etc. To my surprise, after making the drink, it was requested that I pay for the 2nd drink. I politely convey to the Barista that at the other 2 stores, a refill, as long as I remain in the store, has always been free. I even explain that at both stores, the employees (the manager at the Issaquah Store) mentioned “As long as you remain in the store, you can get a free refill “even for tea” though the intent is for you to not request a refill and leave.” The Barista became very loud and rude claiming “I will email the other stores….they are wrong…what they said is true, but only for our drip coffees.” I told her that my hope is that this store would align with what is happening at the other Tully’s I frequent and that she not force them to align with this location’s apparent unique policy. This store’s Barista was very rude and made my morning experience at Tully’s quite unpleasant. Know that I am seriously considering changing my daily tea habit to another supplier. Candidly, I don’t expect to be spoken to in the tone/style exhibited by your Barista. Know that I love the Tully’s product, but I will not tolerate rudeness or being publicly berated by a Tully’s employee. If my business is not valued, I can take it elsewhere. Howard
