Review content:
Shade Tree Coffee is a great place to go if you want coffee, ice cream or pastries. Located right next to Duke West Campus, it has a very nice interior with comfortable armchairs, flowers on the tables and beautiful pictures on the walls. The coffee is wonderful, and the ice cream is homemade with Maple View Farm Milk, which comes from a farm just northwest of Chapel Hill. The milkshakes are wonderful and the pastries there are excellent. If it's not too crowded the manager will come over and chat for a while, and the workers are always polite and cheerful. Also, this place is clean; even the restroom is very clean. The coffee they use is shade grown, and they buy it from people who make sure that the farmers who grow the coffee get the money they deserve. This place is definitely a step up from Starbucks!
