Review content:
For more than 30 years in good times and bad, the Raynham Flea Market has given people a chance to set up a business for a low start up cost. Many vendors have gone on to successful stand-alone stores and profitable careers.
Customers have been able to find bargains on common items as well as some rare finds. Kids can buy hermit crabs and adults can still find vinyl records--probably even eight tracks.
Some posters judge flea markets harshly.. It is after all, a flea market. Dont expect Macy's or even K-Mart. , Abercrombie & Fitch is Abercrombie & Fitch and a Flea Market might make you itch. It is what it is. It might remind you of edging your way through some stranger's crowded basement, or tiptoeing in an old person's cluttered attic, but keep on walking---you might even find a treasure.
As for the food at the Raynham Flea--it is surprisingly good. Check out the pure angus burgers they cook outside over an open fire. This menu is far cheaper and way better than you'll find at the Outback, The Longhorn, or any steakhouse between here and the Texas Panhandle.
and how about this....the famous Jack's Joke Shop of Boston has set up in the Raynham Flea Market. After almost a half-century in downtown Boston, they have relocated to booth 340. Look for Louie---you will know him by the knife sticking through his head!!
and...wait there's more...look for the Great Pitchmen-next door to Louie.
It's Bill and Bill. They should be on TV. They are the best salesmen with the best product. They sell that fabulous Blue Jewelry Cleaner called Clear Bright and Shiny. Let them clean your rings and eyeglasses for free...you won't believe how good the stuff is. It's also an anti fog....take a hot shower...and no fog on your mirror.
The flea market...it is what it is...It's trash and treasure at its very best. Go to Raynham. It has been the biggest and most successful in New England for decades.
Pros: about 1000 dealers and most have pretty good prices
Cons: the ones they let out of the Taunton Jail--Lizzie Borden slept there!
