Businiess name:  Oaks, James E, Dds - Oaks Dental
Review by:  Aimee F.
Review content:
When we moved to Winchester we began looking for a new dentist. My husband, my mother, and myself all visited Dr. Oak's office. My husband and mother both needed dental work done, and had him put fillings in their teeth. My husband's fillings fell out and were replaced twice before we gave up on Dr. Oaks, and at this time every one of his six or seven fillings have come out, and we had to pay the estimate up front, and that much again later when our insurance refused to pay for the types of fillings he uses. My mother had a problem with being able to afford her work, so his office staff walked her through a loan program with very high interest rates. She paid for the service because his before and after photos made his work seem high quality. She ended up having to borrow around $1000 to get six teeth taken care of. She too had to return to him several times to have the fillings replaced, and finally he told her that the work was never meant to be permanent! She is still paying off the loan, and as soon as she's finished must find another dentist to save her six teeth. He told me that I had stress fractures in my teeth and filled one deep crevice. I still have that filling, I believe (I've not noticed it coming out).
