I had to move out of temporary lodging on Shaw AFB, and most of the hotels in the Sumter area were already booked. I was delighted to find that this one was open. Unfortunately, my delight quickly turned to dismay. The room smelled so strongly of animals that it was like walking into an animal boarding kennel. The wall mirror had fallen and was just leaning against the wall. The sink counter was jacked up on 4x4s. I pulled back the blankets on the bed and saw that they were dirty and that there was what appeared to be blood stains on the mattress. I am planning to move out tomorrow and stay somewhere else. I do not recommend this hotel - not even if you're desperate. Just stay in Columbia or somewhere else a little farther away.
