Review content:
I love, love, love this place! My husband and I visit here at least once per week. What it is: A paint-your-own pottery studio where you pick out pieces of unfinished pottery, and then pay a flat fee (listed on the pottery) which includes the pottery you can paint yourself, your time needed to paint in the studio, and all of your paints/glazes. They glaze and fire the piece for you and call you in 4-7 days to pick up your piece. How it works: TMP has tons of glaze colors, with many painted pieces on display to spark your creativity. They have stamps, sponges, scraping tools, carbon paper, art books, stickers (to do negative painting images), stencils, brushes, and more to help you create your one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Their staff is knowledgeable and very friendly and will do everything they can to help you figure out how to get your piece the way you want it. The price: Pieces range in price from $2 for add-ons (very small pieces that get glued onto larger pieces) up to $175 for a wooden-framed mirror which holds 12 4" tiles around the mirror (tiles included). Since we go so frequently, we usually do 6" tiles which are $9 each. For $19.08 including tax my husband and I get to spend hours painting, which is so relaxing, and talking, and eating (bring your own food and drink if you like). Then we get to take our pieces home where we're working toward getting enough to tile a table-top. The variety of items available, however, ranges from countless figurines, banks, tiles, shapes, mugs, cups, glasses, saucers, all sizes and varieties of serving and/or display dishes, and even some bakeware. The pottery is top-rack dishwasher safe too! They change promotions from time-to-time I think, but currently they have these: Tuesday nights: Diva nights, free chocolate and popcorn, and drawings for free pottery. Friday nights: Live music Saturday nights: Free pizza They also have party specials. I've seen bridal and baby showers, and lots of birthday parties. You'll love it!
