Review content:
I've had three cars serviced by Nationwise. I'm sorry they closed down. Jack and John Kempster (father and son, respectively) operated an honest business with very competitive pricing and very good customer service. Among some of the work they did for me, was: engine replacement, transmission rebuild, engine tune-up, transmission tune-up, and AC compressor replacement, on my 1994 Volvo 960; water pump replacement, and engine tune-up, on my wife's 1991 Honda Accord; and diagnostics and check-up on my daughter's 1991 Mazda 929S. As I brought my cars to them more often, for routine maintenance as well as major repairs, they gave me greater discounts on their services.
Once, I was stuck on the roadside with a flat tire, after being run off the road by a reckless driver. John Kempster happened to be driving by. He helped me with changing the tire and getting the car up out of the dirt. There was no charge for his help. John and his father are just good folks, like that.
Recently, I was heading over to Nationwise, to have one of the cars serviced, and I discovered the shop was closed. I miss those guys. They're a tough act to follow. I pray that Jack Kempster is okay. I know his health was not great, in the last year. I wish only the best, for the Kempster family and their former employees of Nationwise.
Pros: Great service, very reasonable rates, truly good people
Cons: No longer in business
