"When I first saw the reviews here I was thinking that if I decided to stay here it would be specifically for the chance to see how bad it was for myself... a fun adventure. I was thinking that perhaps this wasn't such a smart idea as I arrived from a 10:30 pm flight and had a 6 am appointment the next day. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the hotel was perfectly suited to my needs. The location was beyond excellent if you are a patient at Mayo Clinic. The rooms were perfectly clean, comfy, and adequate, although the bathrooms are from the 70/80s and do have a hospital vibe. That said, I kind of liked the bathrooms....they had a unique retro vibe. Cool. And yes, the fridge and microwave were older, but they worked fine, no problems. The room overall was much nicer than I expected with 2 huge windows. The size was perfect for one person. I do suggest not taking a room that faces the courtyard area if you are a light sleeper. As long as you can afford to stay in any of the regular or deluxe (NOT economy) rooms, you should be OK. It was exactly what I was needing for a Mayo visit and I am more than happy to return.
