This rental company was a total nightmare to deal with, if you are a student avoid at all costs. I lived in a Newlove apartment while attending BG and everything about this rental company was awful. To begin, they were supposed to clean the place and have it ready, but when I moved in the place was absolutely filthy, the stove was dirty and the refrigerator had salad dressing and other food stains inside. I called but they said their cleaning people were behind and would contact me within two weeks. Needless to say I had to clean it myself. My sliding door was broken when I moved in and they never fixed it the entire 9 months of my lease. In addition, they will come into your apartment at anytime, without regard for your schedule. The properties they own are run down, poorly maintained and rented to anyone who can pay the deposit (which you will not get back). Be aware they will REQUIRE you to sign a new lease 6 months before the expiration of current lease. If you do not, they will begin to show it to future renters—again with no notice but a knock on the door. By the time I moved out they were showing my apartment to 8-10 people a week. In addition, despite cleaning the apartment thoroughly and leaving it much cleaner than when I moved in, they still refused to return my deposit. If you rent from Newlove you will certainly regret it.
