Review content:
Incompetent and dishonest is the only way to describe this tire/repair shop. I brought my car to Speck for a simple oil change after receiving a coupon mailer. I made an appointment for an oil change and complimentary tire rotation. Not only did they not rotate the tires (different types of valve caps on front and back), but even worse they broke the valve cover by letting the hood fall down onto the oil funnel--the top of the hood was dented showing this. Unbelievably, they then tried to tell me my valve cover was broken when I brought the car in to them. I tried to get the issue resolved and was told it would be taken care of, but when I took the car back in they again claimed the damage was already present when it was serviced--although nothing was written on the invoice. I asked why it was not noted on the invoice and he said that “they didn't do things that way.” This, despite the fact that other suggested repairs were indicated . . . So not only are these people incompetent, but they are also liars. The car could not have been driven to the shop if the damage was already present--even if so they certainly would have brought this to my attention as soon as they started if it were the case. Speck refused all responsibility and basically told me I would have to sue. I understand that people make mistakes, but if mistakes are made I expect to have the issue dealt with in a professional and honest manner. Speck Sales chose not to do so because they simply did not want to pay for the damage caused by their inexperienced, unprofessional mechanics (you will find no certified mechanics working at this shop). If you decide to take your car to this shop you do so at your own risk.
