Review content:
I've heard all the rave reviews about this place, but they all must have been from people who had no taste buds. We ordered for an appetizer, the garlic bread with MARINARA sauce. For my entree, I ordered grilled cheese (with 2" thick bread per-slice, too big to actually fit in my mouth) and TOMATO SOUP. The first thing I noticed was that the soup and the marinara sauce tasted strangely IDENTICAL!! Except for the slight oregano/parsley flavor of the marinara-they were of the same substance. #2: My partner ordered Lobster Bisque, and I guess in Zuppa's mind, bisque means ultra, hard to get-down-the throat "Soup"-because, and I am not kidding-it was the thickness of pudding. To top it off, the waitress could care less that my partner stepped on a big chair tack that pierced his shoe all the way to his foot, she only seemed concerned with getting our order taken, so she could go back to doing whatever she was doing before we walked in. Not friendly, not compassionate and she didn't even ask how our meal was after we were done. Probably because she knew that the food there wasn't worth the time of day. So, as mentioned, I wouldn't even bother. Go somewhere else and skip this mold smelling place of dinning, because honestly-it's overpriced for it's quality and you will not be satisfied what you order, especially the Marinara Soup.
Pros: I like some of the ambience, the bead board addition was nice.
Cons: Slightly breezy in the winter though. Service, food, bad soup selection for a place named Zuppa!
