I purchased a dinner voucher (similar to Groupon) for Felt thinking it would fun to try the venue and I was intrigued by its offerings. I redeemed my voucher last evening and am sad I ever wasted the money. First of all, there was no host to greet my boyfriend and I when we walked in. I finally managed to talk to the bartender on duty and said we had a reservation and promptly received a response of, "we don't take reservations". Once he talked with the manager, the bartender (acting and looking rather haggard), sat us and again had to go talk to the manager when I asked him about the voucher. Every time he came to the table, it was obvious he was not a server and kept telling us that he was the only one working. My boyfriend quipped, "Well, I hope the cook knows what he's doing" and the bartender replied, "So do I". The bartender did not know basic things like what the soup of the day was, couldn't make a recommendation on the menu, didn't ask my boyfriend how he wanted his steak prepared, didn't clear appetizer plates before serving entree, etc. When he brought out the entrees, because he hadn't cleared the appetizer dishes, he put our meals at a nearby booth and said, "Just sit over here, there's more room". The booth seat cushions were disgusting and soiled from previous customers. You could see every spot/stain. It turns out that the bartender wasn't even a bartender, but rather a bar back who was responsible for attending to the entire first floor. Needless to say, this was not the "hip" night out that the voucher advertised.
