Review content:
Before a show at the Jungle Theater, our group of 4 had dinner at jP. The menu offered so many intriguing items that we decided to get several dishes and share. For appetizers, the piadina was a wonderful blend of flavors, the trout salad was superb and the foie gras was decadent. We continued on with entrees and were not disappointed. The melt-in-your-mouth risotto was superb and the venison and duck-breast were a palate-pleasing delight. The wine, (one white, one red) was recommended by our knowledagable and friendly server and complimented the dishes perfectly. The desserts were a subtle lemon and raspberry coulis and a heavenly butterscotch pot de creme. The food was incredible, but the best part of our evening was the bill. Even though I'm from expensive CA, I actually thought that final amount was a mistake! If I lived in Mpls, I would frequent this restaurant regularly. Pros: great food, great deal, nice atmosphere
