Review content:
I went into AJ Martin to ask about sizing down my antique engagement ring from the 20s. The proprietor was nice until I handed over my ring. The very first thing that she said to me was that the setting was "total crap," then proceeded to bad mouth everything else about the ring for the next several minutes, until I finally had enough and left.
But the most insulting thinig was when she asked how I aquired the ring and after telling her it was it a family heirloom and had also been my Mother's engagement ring, but was now mine since my parents had were divorced, she declared the ring "jinxed" and asked why I would even want it. Needless to say I was incredibly insulted, offended, and just plain hurt by this statement. This is not the way you treat potential customers. She may have been right on several points, but there was a much better way to relay that information to me.
Considering all her nasty remarks regarding my engagement ring, there is no way on earth I would ever give her my business. Just a bad experience all the way around. I would highly suggest going elsewhere.
