Review content:
My wife and I spent a spontaneous weekend in Santa Fe and happened onto this inn by chance. When we walked by and peeked in through the wrought iron gate, we just had to go in and see what was inside. It was charming! The grounds were well kept, quiet and very private. We felt like we were in a small pueblo village! Each room's door was painted a beautiful Santa Fe Blue (cross between sky blue and cobalt) and adorned with an adorable iron chili knockers and Indian tribes name- very intriguing. Well, we just couldn't help ourselves... so we inquired about a room in the office which had a lovely dining room/communial area combo complete with cream colored leather love seats and sheepskin throws. Really alluring! They had a lovely little room (actual it was quite spacious compared to most b&b's we've stayed in) which we felt fit our needs and so we stayed. It was one of the most intersting, fun and unique places we've enjoyed in a long time. Santa Fe is an amazing city and this little out of the way inn really created a memorable impression to enhance our visit. The walls of the building were a foot and a half thick of adobe (mud) brick. The electrical wires were on the outside of this massive structure because when originally built there was no electricity! Our room had a wonderful kiva fireplace that was so easy to use and made the room glow with beautiful light- very romantic. Anytime we stay in Santa Fe, I will definately take the time to seek this inn out- it was worth every penny (very afforadable as well).
Pros: kiva fireplace, afternoon margaritas, authenticity of historic building
Cons: none!
