Review content:
We used priceline to find a cheap hotel close to Magnificent Mile in Chicago this last weekend. We stayed at the Residence Inn, just behind the John Hancock building. It was fantastic!!! The rooms are being renovated, and they are beautiful. They are spacious, with full kitchens (that came in handy for left overs and wine chilling) pull out sofas, and a BIG walk-in closet.
I know these are meant for extended stays, but we appreciated the extra room for the 3 days we were there. PLUS: As an added bonus, there was free breakfast each morning (biscuits and gravy, waffles, french toast, sausage...) and a free "light dinner" in the evenings. A real savings for all the families that were staying there.
All in all, this is a great hotel, in a great location, with lots of great amenities. Thanks Residence Inn!!!
Pros: Free meals, big rooms, full kitchen in each room
Cons: under construction (March 2008)
