Review content:
Usually I enjoy Hobby Lobby, but not this location. I had stopped by to make a project for a boy in the hospital as a Christmas gift. I asked one of the employees about the project, and she assured me that she knew exactly what I was talking about and that she would help me make gather the materials I needed and explain to me how to make the project. So, silly me, I bought what she told me to because she seemed like she knew what she was talking about. I also followed her directions to a 'T', and was incredibly upset when the project fell apart in front of me. I went to the store the next day and told the assistant manager, Jennifer I believe, what had happened. I told her I either wanted my money back, or wanted new supplies because I had looked online and the the sales associate had given me the wrong supplies and wrong instructions. Not only was I replied to with a harsh NO to both, but then the assistant manager told a sales associate a bit later to cut some fabric for me, and then tried to force me to pay for it. The total was over $60. Naturally, I was very confused as to why she was trying to charge me for something we did not agree on. She said that she made the decision WITHOUT asking me to cut the fabric I would need for my project. She then spent 15 minutes explaining to me that since it was cut, I needed to pay for it. Well, I refused and walked out the door.
I called the next day to speak to the manager to complain about all of these problems. He basically told me I was a liar and to never come back into his store. I contacted corporate and they said that the staff at this location was just "doing the best they could" and that it had been a busy day.
If you want good service, go to another Hobby Lobby (on Golf Road). Don't waste your time here.
