Review content:
I had one of the absolute worst experiences in this hospital. I had a miscarriage at home and was in need of care. I spent the entire day there waiting for my doctor to arrive. Nobody had bothered to call her even though I had given them the information. The emergency room staff doctor was horrible and cruel. She physically hurt me several times and when I objected to her treatment, she told me I was a big baby and to stop crying. She told me the next time I have a miscarriage, I should bring the fetus in. Excuse me??? "Next time"??? What a horrid woman. A nurse was supposed have put Pitosin in my IV drip bag, but instead she inserted it directly into my IV tube, which had horrible results. The doctor insisted nothing had happened and I was lying, she wanted me to sign some paper immediately that said there was no wrong-doing. If I hadn't been such an emotional and physical wreck at the time, I might have realized that I could have had an immediate investigation done and probably sued them. Such a large dose of pitosin was not only horribly painful and scary, I'm surprised it didn't kill me. I shudder every time I hear that a friend or family member has gone to this hospital for treatment.
To be fair, they have been taken in as part of the Sinai Medical group now, and are probably better than they used to be when they were independent. However, if given a choice, I surely wouldn't go back there.
