Unfortunately I had a very unpleasant experience that after recounting with some friends, felt compelled to share on-line as a warning...while browsing the store I decided to try on a hat. Unbeknownst to me and somewhat hidden under the hat stand was a little metal stand with an odd shaped ceramic bowl. Regrettably when I went to see myself in the mirror with the hat on the bowl got knocked down and broke. The owner immediately came over with the most intimidating and rude presence I have ever felt in a store. I politely explained that I had not even seen it and apologized profusely. Being he was so extremely rude and daunting I offered to pay for the damaged item, though I did not really believe it was my responsibility but more of a merchandise placement issue. He proceeded to tell me I needed at least pay his cost (which was less than half of the price tag…showing how much the customer is overcharged at his store, yikes!) I of course paid for the damaged item but sadly left right after without buying any of the plants I originally had gone to purchase and needless to say felt so very embarrassed in front of my family and out of town guests. As a business owner myself I felt it wasn’t prudent to lose a repeat customer and the bad experience I will continue to share over a $6.00 item…
