Review content:
I was supposed to stay here only one night on business and then move to the Atlantic side to go to the Daytona 500. Unfortunately, my college buddy whom I was going with had to go out of the country so I changed plans and decided to just stay at the Mt. Vernon for 2 extra days and enjoy Florida weather. The temps went up to the 80s so the weather was great. The inn has seen better days but it is still nice. It is kept very clean. No free breakfast but there is a small restaurant in the inn which serves breakfast and lunch. The breakfasts were reasonably priced and good. One warning, if you get a room around the pool it can be noisy at night because of outside seating for the bar but it seemed to get quiet around 11 so sleep wasn't a problem. There's a large park with a lake directly behind the inn and it is close to many restaurants. The employees with whom I had contact were all very helpful and friendly. The fitness center was small but had what appeared to be quite new equipment. I stayed at the inn because it was halfway between my business meeting and the airport and the inn is only one of 2 hotels in Winter Park and is the more reasonably priced.
