Review content:
Previous reviewer, jdboyd, is clearly "disgruntled" or delusional. The owner of Bridge to Health has worked on 4 generations of my family, all for relief of chronic pain and stiffness. He has treated my middle-aged mother's whiplash, my elderly grandmother's stiffness and aches, and my muscle stiffness caused from having a chronically pinched nerve. He even treated my 2 week old infant who was born with torticollis, a painful condition that results from having certain neck muscles that are so tight as to limit movement. In fact, I drove weekly from Nashville for about 5 months for the baby's treatments. I tried another neuromuscular massage therapist here in Nashville hoping to save some $$ on gas, and the baby screamed throughout the entire massage. She never even fussed with Scott from Bridge to Health. Not once. And his massage was so effective! After a treatment, the baby wouldn't cry or need Motrin for a whole week. Scott has a rare gift, getting the knots out without causing you very much pain or bruising your skin. Don't let the health benefits fool you though. This is a high-end spa treatment. The business is in a residential building that has been zoned commercial, so it has a casual, relaxed feel, not institutional at all. The decor is nice, but not uptight, sort of a spiritual air to it. It is located one block away from the art district in North Chattanooga. The place is perfumed with essential oils and smells wonderful. There is relaxing music playing softly. Lavender oil rubbed onto the soles of your feet (to help you relax) is a standard treatment here. Distilled water is provided. People who want a massage strictly for stress relief will not be disappointed.
