Jamel Inn - I had a very bad experience there. I hosted a rehearsal dinner there. I had eaten there a year before (for brunch) and I thought the food was good and called to reserve the upstair for dinner for 40. It was dirty and had alot of roaches - I was so upset, the guests killed at least 6 roaches that I know of and a waiter killed one on the ceiling. I was so embarrased - then the food came and it was terrible. The shrimp & grits was a runny mess on the plate, the seared Mahi Mahi was dry and the potatoes were under cooked and hard. The bean soup had hard beans in it. The people who ordered the beef did say it was just OK. So, needless to say, it was BAD. All of my guests said they would never go there again and who could blame them, I know I won't. The only reason they get 1 star from me is because you have to give at least one.
