Review content:
We were sent to Bell Honda through Costco. Participating dealers are required to show customers the pre-arranged Costco pricing for the vehicle they want to buy, so we had information "up front" about pricing. The salesperson (Jason T in Internet sales) was very straightforward. There were no "games" played or surprise hidden charges when we sat down to negotiate the price. Jason tried to make us comfortable and seemed to genuinely want us to get a car that fit our needs and our budget. We have nothing but good things to say about him. When it came time to arrange financing, things got a bit less friendly. The finance department representative clearly was interested in getting us to buy a very expensive extended service plan (MPP) and tried a hard sell approach at first, including some options we felt were completely unnecessary. When the hard sell didn't work he called in his supervisor who had more authority to adjust prices and change options. After about 1-1/2 hours we agreed to buy only the items we were interested in at a much better price than their initial offer. We haven't gone back for the first vehicle service yet but hope that our relationship with Bell Honda continues to be a good one.
