Review content:
i have been riding bikes for years and have consistently had my bike tuned at a local shop that was on the higher end but always provided great service and workmanship was never a question.
I moved to the area and dropped my bike off for some repairs and a preseason tune. They went through was they felt was needed and I agreed on the majority of it. They gave me an estimate which I was fine with. I understand bike are expensive and break frequently. When I picked up by bike they had double charged me on two things, one being a wipe down of the frame... Give me a break, and the other was part of the overall tune. They did adjust it when I asked them about it when paying the bill.
Again, I expect to pay for good service and as we all know having a functioning bike on rides is the diffence between a good ride and a frustrating ride.
Here is my issue- my bike was full of gear and break malfunctions on my first ride. They replaced all cables but did not pull the correct amount of tension on them and replaced my rear cassette and chain which has it's own set of issues now.
There are other shops that I will try now namely EMS in peterboro.
