My children have been seeing Dr. Shanahan for 10 years! He has always made my children comfortable and they enjoy being in both his chair and Marilyn's (dental hygeinist). Personally, I have always had bad experiences with dentists when I was younger and kept putting off the repairs I needed on my own teeth. Unfortunatley I could't put it off forever and grudgingly made an appointment to get them fixed. I literally dragged my self to his chair and let them do what was needed. I was so scared (and I'm 32 years old!) that I could hardly breath and my arms hurt from grabbing the arm of the chair so hard!! But he finished before I expected him to and I was good to go by the time I left the office! I was so AMAZED that I scheduled my next problem tooth right away. For me, that speaks volumes!! A year later, the work he did (one porcelain crown and a filling) are still holding up and I haven't had any problems with them. After 20 years of being scared of the dentist, he has taken away my fear and restored my faith in dentists (atleast with him, I don't know about everyone else and I am NOT ready to find out!). Thanks Bryan, you guys are great!
