This was a pretty good experience. The atmosphere is unlike any other that I have been in. The place was an old Greek style diner that was beautifully maintained. The staff was very polite, friendly, and provided great service. The food was pretty good also. One of the many specials for the day was a Cup of soup and half a Corned Beef Sandwich. I decided that the special was just right for me and ordered it with Clam Chowder and whole wheat toast for my sandwich. The sandwich also came with a large pickle slice and coleslaw. The clam chowder was one of the best that I have ever had. It was obviously made in the kitchen and was not some pre-made bulk item that came in a truck. My Corned Beef Sandwich cam out shortly after the soup and was piled nice and high with thick cut corned beef. My only knock on the sandwich was that, unlike the corned beef I have had at home, this one was slightly on the dry side. The flavor however was great and the sandwich was very satisfying. The pickle and coleslaw was quite good also. It was a type that I don't typically care for but in this case, I cleaned out the bowl. Bottom line is that if you are ever in the area, give this place a shot. They have a wonderful selection on the menu and the bakery below run by the restaurant just adds to the number of items that are available.
